Dear Mother & All

I soon got tired of Glasgow so came back to London today. They can all have their Scotland as far as I am concerned. Give me London to spend a holiday in.

I am terribly sleepy and Charlie wants me to go to a theatre so I will go because I will not be here very long.

I am sending along a memento of London A Sugar card. You can keep this as a souvenir of London in War time. I have no use for it so will send it on to you.

How are you all getting along in Canada are they going to start food control over there. I really do not know what you shall do if they do for you can get little to eat where there is no food control and yet less where there is.

Well I wished I was on my way to Egypt I feel very much out of place today, I think it is on account of my vacation last week.

There is little to tell so I will close hoping you are well and having a real good time

With Love

Alfred
