Letter

I am still not sorry I joined the army, but I get mad when dirty politicians meddle with the lives of the men who are fighting. I hope Mr. Censor misses this letter, because I feel sure that his scissors would break my train of thought. I’m not really bitter, Mom, but fighting mad. You’re pretty handy with the old pen, Mrs. S., what say you let the other decent Canadians know just what a hoax this “Home Leave” is?

Well, Mom, I hope the twenty-pound turkey was tender and I hope the one you order for next Xmas is just as good. When I do get home, our reunion will be all the happier because of our long separation. ------
