I haven’t seen or heard anything of Liulf for nearly three months, but I don’t think he would leave without letting me know. --------- Speaking of the War, it certainly seems that we have a clean-cut victory in our grasp if we play our cards right and don’t trump too many aces. I think this Italian campaign was rather a political mess, but our soldiers, sailors, and airmen seem to be straightening the thing out to the complete satisfaction of all concerned. General Montgomery seems quite well satisfied with the performance of his Canadian troops and I, for one, hope for the privilege of fighting under his command.
