I am writing you a few lines, hoping you are quite well and to thank you for the letter last week it is pretty good to get a letter in Welsh and I wish I could write back to you in the same language but I am afraid you wouldnt be able to understand it if I did as I never learnt to write in Welsh.

Well, I think I will be coming up to see you about the end of the month for a few days, and then I have got to go to Machyleth and see Uncle Pierce I have promised Mam and so I must go or I will get it in the neck from home

I hope you are quite well Nain bach as I am, now and I have never felt better the holiday has done me lot of good and I would like to take another one next summer if I could but I might not be lucky enough.  I havent had a letter from my father for some time and I don’t know where he is now so I could write to him.  Well I must say ta ta for now Nain bach
