Sunday. June 13th 12 30 noon 1915

Dear Mother & all

I am stell on train we are having a beautiful trip and weather is just fine sun shins all the time, every man has a sleeper to himself & we have three first class meals a day on train & meals are fine. I have a lower birth so sure enjoying tripe. we past through Medicin Hat at 8 AM this morning, we got off there and had a nice lettle walk around. we past through the Glaciers in the nicest part of day. and last night we past through Field & past the Great divide & about 8 PM there was three & us together in the back & train all the way they let us stay out there because we made friend with some very nice Ladys on the train & they asked us back, there was about ten Ladys from New York that had been down to the fair & was just going home by Canada, & they sure traited us nice. But they got off at Lake Louise & about 11. PM, Last night they gave us there address, & they want us to come & visit them when we come back & just had a lovely time.

Say mother you remember the lettle Girl at the train in pink that cried when I went away she gave me ten boxs & cigarets, I only met her on boat, but she seemed very nice her name is Madiline Musson, and I am going to have her call on you, But I thought it was very nice of her to give me the cigarets

Will Mother & all donet worry I will be back soon & am having a lovely time. could not ask for better, we are just pulling into swift current now we will be into Brandon at 2 45 AM tomorrow morning, & will get to Winnipeg at 6 45 AM tomorrow morning. give my love to Mrs. Slater & others. Vancouver dont know how to use soldiers, Put they sure do down here. every body uses us swill, there is some americans & train & they could not use us nicer if they tried, Will Write you again tomorrow or next day. Love to all. dont worry for we have got the nicest bunch of boys you ever could meet they are all singing now & all happy & nearly all Canadians too, must say good by & get out ant strich my lags as ever I am to you Lovingly
