My Dear Ones at Home, -

Last night, after over two weeks waiting, we received Canadian mail. Thank Goodness! One from mother (Feby 26), one from Laura Thorn, one from Aunt Agnes and one from Agnes. The parcel that mother spoke of with jam, butter, etc has not yet arrived, but I got the one with gloves, candles preserved ginger etc. some days ago. I have received every parcel that you have sent, except the one I just mentioned, and it will be along in a day or so: they are always a few days behind the letters that they leave with. If you write twice a week, I am afraid that I do not get all your letters I think it would be a good idea if you numbered both letters & parcels so that I could tell whether I missed any or not. Lately of course the mail both ways has been very irregular on account of subs, and probably will be for a while.

Did I tell you that I got another big parcel from Frank Pecovers. A huge cake, cocoa, chocolate candy & tobacco. Also a long, kind, cheerful letter from Janie (Mrs Frank)

On Saturday night Argyle and I went to the Y.M.C.A. concert. After the concert was the good-night service and then Captain Penfold held a little communion service. We took the communion - our first in France, and I know we both lifted our hearts in thanksgiving to God that He had kept us safely thro' that day

On Sunday morning we started our sewing job, but had just finished [page torn off]

[page torn off] One of these days I am going to tell you what I want for dinner the day I get home.

Goodbye, with a world of love, - Markle
