Dear Mr. Irwin

Just a few lines to let you know that I, am sailing for Canada on Wednesday 5th 2-19.

No doubt you will be surprised to get this letter from me, sorry I did not write before, but perhaps I shall be able to explain the circumstances when I get to Canada.

I suppose Karl is home by now! At present I, am on leave until Monday p.m. you see I’ve got to be back in time to Catch the Boat. I, am stationed at Rhyl N. Wales. I think Karl knows the place well.

Well Mr. Irwin I, have not much news for you at present so will conclude with my best regards, best of wishes to all at home hoping to see the happy family again soon
