Dear Win

Since writing the enclosed letter - the surprise and your letter arrived - and it was a great surprise indeed. I shall have to leave the story of its reception for Mother’s letter but before I close I want to thank you for your share - it was awfully nice of you to remember and if we ever do go to the front I shall bring each of you a souvenir; for the rest ask Mother to let you see her letter; lots of love.
