PTE. JOHN FAHEY

Joseph Fahey, 46 Lily street, received word today that his son, Pte. Fahey, No. 147,451, was killed in ac­tion, Nov. 6. No details were given. Pte. Fahey enlisted when he was only 17 years old and had been with the Winnipeg Grenadiers for two years and six months. He was at Vimy Ridge, St. Eloi, the Somme front, Fresnoy, Hill 70, Lens, and was killed at Passchendaele while the Canadians were advancing. He was born and reared in Winnipeg and with his two other brothers who are now at the front, was educated at the St. Thomas Military college, St. Paul, Minn.
