Dear Sir:

Pte. O'Neill and myself visited The Dominion Bridge Shops to-day and although we were not successful in signing up a recruit we secured the promise of one man to come out with us on Monday. We also took one man to headquarters but he was refused as medically unfit.

If you desire me to wait over until Monday will you kindly wire me authority. Pte. O'Neill will return Sunday night, or sooner if we are able to get one or two recruits to-morrow. We are doing our best but it is hard plugging. I remain,

Yours respectfully.

2058 Esplanade Avenue.
