Dear Lettie
Well I thought I would write and let you know how I was getting on. I am at Aunt Jessie's, Gordon Petrie's mothers. Well we left London on the Thursday night at 8:00 on the flying Scotsman and we got into Edinburgh at 4 o'clock in the morning. It only stopped twice between London and Edinburgh so A. Smith, Mackenzie and I went for a walk along Princess Street and saw Edinburgh Castle. The train left for Aberdeen at 7:45 and we got into Aberdeen at 11:30 and we had dinner at a sisters of A. Smiths and we took the train for Inveruie at 3 o'clock. And there was another sister in Aberdeen from Inveruie so we went out with her and Sandy went on a station or two where his father stays. So she made me stay at her place for tea and her and her husband came out to Jessie's with me. I was away down where I went to school yesterday and came back here on the train today. I am going into Aberdeen tomorrow and we leave Aberdeen Wednesday morning at 6:15 for London. You ought to see the heather hills just now they're beautiful. I will be expecting a letter from you when I get back to camp.
