Dear Friend

I write to send news of your husband & I grieve that its sorrowful news. Up till Saturday he was doing very well, but hut cares are very uncertain & often suddenly fail. He had alright [?] on Friday & on Saturday was once - on Sunday he was unconscious & died at 6:45 pm peacefully & without pain. I cannot ex-press my sorrow. They got to know him , & admired his character. [?] had many alike. & I can say this no man ever died more ready to meet his God. He was a favourite in this [?]now & Mrs Suite[?] , afterwards [?] kind to him will write you to express her sympathy. She felt an I felt.

He will be buried at Aubigny in the Soldiers Cemetery. I [?] which shows a [?] quit this [?] will humankind with a plain under cross his name & his Ref. number & dale Judith in metal.

His effects will he sent but may take some time to come.

As I am a platoon minister I hope to come & see you if you are at the same address. When I get home. If you change, send new change to my wife at 83 [?] .
