Dear Madam,

I am in receipt of your letter re-Pte McLeish who is now at the following address-

Pte Wm. McLeish 24446.
13th Royal Highlanders of Canada,
Lager 2. Block 4. K.29.
Kriegsgefangenenlager.
MUNSTER i/W Germany.

This man does not write very often - and we have never as yet received any word from him saying that he has been ill!

His last P.C. to us is dated 23/12/17 which runs as follows -

"I thank you most sincerely for the food packets which arrive every week. I am well pleased with content - contents. The Bread from Berne is also O.K."

Of course being on a Working Party makes it more difficult for the men to write. I sincerely hope that this information will relieve you somewhat of your anxiety, and that you will soon receive good news from him.

Yours very truly,
E R Bulkeley

F.C.
