Dear Mother
Well I am very sorry I have not written to you for so long but I have been so busy.
They took a bunch of us from beginning two weeks ago and have kept us here ever since doing nothing but fixing kits together and having inspections. I am positively sick of it. I wish they would let us go and get out of this hole.
I go to [?] every day or two. It is very nice to have a home so close for that is what it is to me.
How is Father getting on? He is well I suppose. Are the girls both going to school or is Ethel out working. Father was too anxious for her to start working her schooling would help her more.
Oh! before I forget Airey's (where I was billeted) would like you to drop them a line in case of any accident to me. They do not publish Canadian casualties in the English papers. They are nice people and would do anything for me. Mr. Airey says I am his youngest son. I am enclosing the youngest girl's card. Write to her as she is the business head of the family.
Well I think that is about all I can say now. Give my love to Father and the kids and Goodbye with love from
Your loving son
George Broome
P.S. Do not forget so send my letters to Uncle Geo. and he will forward them.
