Fellow Members and Boys Overseas;

It's short - we hope it's sweet. The old town bangs along - but not in the same way - too many women, not enough men! But the Ken Club still manages to get along on 3 fair cylinders. Still chiseling the public for money. This year it's a stampede and carnival - two days Sep. 1 & 2 - another 48 hours with no sleep, no food - BUT -! - 28 men - and the best of them - lost from the club to the war means a dozen grey hairs per day for President Brown - he's very busy these days - and nites - with the rest of the boys building corrals for the 2 big days. 8 chutes this year - no less. Incidentally the "brain" work is still done in "Nellies" room at the Jasper.

Secretary Don Bygrave is latest addition to R.C.A.F. and leaves us Sept 1st. The new "Doc" Mitchell can't sell as many tickets for us as the old one - but by gaurd the "Hillbilly" can almost ride a horse.

Good work by "P.F.R.G." Beamish, Art Waller and Lynn Redmund seems to have netted result by the way of an airport for old M.C. - This western country is spoiling a h- of a lot of good Englishmen!

By the way - applications will be received for a can puller by John Ingram - No men left and John's hands are very tired.

Next time it will be longer we hope - meanwhile keep up the old chins - and believe us, we really appreciate it all.

Yours very truly,
Every Member of the Ken Club

300 cigarettes are on the way - we hope you get them
