Your wife was kind enough to let me see your letter to her, giving the account of the death of my Son the late Lt Col G. L. Derrison Jnnr I was very much pleased to see the very friendly manner in which you wrote of my dead Son- He must have been highly thought of by everyone- I have received letters from his Col, from General Reuicie, and other officers giving me particulars of his death, and all speaking of him in the highest terms
