Madam,
With further reference to your letter dated 14th January last, which has been passed to this Directorate for reply, please be advised that according to the records the marginally noted deceased solider was entitled to receive the 1914-15 Star, and as it has not come forward from the overseas authorities, application is being made to the War Office for the same.
2. It is not expected that the Star will reach these Headquaters for three months at least. Upon receipt, it will be despatched to the legal representatitve.
3. The question of the issue of the Memorial Cross is receiving attention and you will be further advised at a later date.
4. Memoranda respecting the British Was and Victory Medals, Memorial Cross, Plaque and Scroll are enclosed herewith for your information.
