Dear Mr. Greenway

You will already have received the sad news that your son, no 2020829, Pte s. Greenway has been killed in action during the recent "Advance" his death took place on the 2nd of this month and his body has been laid to rest in a small Britisn Military Cemetary situated a few miles behind the firing line.

Let me express to you my deepest sympathy in this your extremely sad bereavement. I pray that God may comfort and console you, and all who mourn with you.
