Dear Brother

I am writing you these few lines hoping to find you all well as it leave me so at present I was sorry to hear you had broken your arm last winter I guess you have are will put in a little crop this spring if you are not drafted but if there is any danger join the American forces no brass to shine I am glad Ben and Elisha are not coming. Well Jim I wish you the best of luck I guess you know what I mean write and left me know how you are getting along it take about two months to get a reply let me know when you receive this letter so Good-bye
