Dear brother
Just a few lines hoping to find you all well as it leaves me so at present the trip over was pretty tough lots of the boys never ate for four or five days although it was not rough we were nearly all sick. Well we are near the front anyway we can hear the guns, The climate over here looks like it might be very much like Vancouver of course you cant tell very much in a day or two what the weather is really like.
Food is scarce but the soldiers get enough to eat. From parts we passed through on the train that is the farming part it looks like they have not started the spring work yet but some have quite a bit of fall plowing done. But by the time this reaches you will be pretty busy with the spring work I don't suppose you will get over this far but you need not worry if you don't because its not worth the price we will be quarinteened for 10 day and will get so much leave and then look for training.
This is all this time
Much love to all
