Minister of Reconstruction and Rehabilitation

Regina, Sask.

June 26, 1945.

Mr. Joseph Senton,

Simpson, Sask.

Dear Mr. Senton:

May I on behalf of the Government extend to you our sincerest sympathy over the great loss which you have recently sustained. I realize that expressions of sympathy utterly fail to compensate you. Nevertheless I do wish you to know that we are thinking of you and that we are deeply grateful for the service rendered to this province and to this country by your loved one. Your consolation must be that he served nobly and in a great cause. It is the duty of this country and of society which he served so self-sacrificingly to bring to fruition those ideals for which he fought and died. I know too that your sorrow will be in part relieved by the happy memories which you will always have of your life together.

If my department can be of any service to you, please feel at liberty to communicate with me direct.

Yours sincerely,

JOHN H. STURDY

Minister
