Dear Folks & Lill.

How are you all? Three of us are down to London on leave. We have 15 days, staying at a Club here, bed & breakfasts costs about 55, money is different you know, although we have plenty of it as long as we don't celebrate to much.

Just now we are posted at Scotland, coastal comment, had been in South Wales for some time. We don't know for sure if we'll be able to stay on coast, there's only two Canadian pilots, only two gunners needed & there is over eight of us. We wrote a exam & everything relates on that. We are staying in here until the 20th & then go up to Edinburgh & few places in Scotland on the way up.

We were around & got socks, cigarettes etc yesterday. Got a letter from Glen & from Cecil. We are going around to the wax works, some good theatres here, just resting up for when we start flying
Tonite we are going to a dance & are they ever packed, people & big places over here. Big, old ancient building here, especially universities etc

I don't need anything from home, Mother, have just about everything, Glen is sending me some dress socks so I'll be O.K. I imagine.

All those address you gave me, haven't used any of them, I know a large gang & never seem to have the time to look them up. Wrote you a letter the other, & also airmail.

Will say Goodbye for now, Your son

Claude.
