Dear Mother:-

Well Iam not doing much at present as will write a short not. It is a very long time since I heard from you last. I don't know what is keeping your mail.

I've been up the line since I wrote last but have come back again and am being sent back of the lines on a course, or something like that. I was only up one day. I wish to goodness I could have stayed awhile since I was here.

Did you ever hear from Ges Puns. He wrote you, I think. At least he said he was going to presently. And that was a long time ago.

I like this country O.K. I saw some boys of the 85th today. Do you remember McGee who worked in the P.O. He was wounded some time ago but is up at the front again. I saw him today

I tried to find Ralph but he was away somewhere at the time.

I expect I will be with Wallace McKay for a while as he is taking the same course as I am about to take.

Grant McKenzie & Dexter are still in Blighty perhaps I mentioned before. I think I will have to close now.

Lovingly
Ludlow
