Dear Mother:-

It is over 3 weeks since I had your last letter but am expecting mail any day now I am anxious to know whether you are settled for the winter. Where is Madge this winter. It is nearly two months since I had a letter from her. In her last she wasn't decided whether she was going to stay at Columbia or not.

The war news is great there days, isn't it? It looks as if it might be all over sometime soon. I hope so anyway.

What is the news from Truro. I haven't had a paper for ages. I don't know where they are going but it certainly isn't here.

I had a letter from Grant McKenzie a few days ago, He is probably over here by now. Carl Dexter came over about 2 weeks after I did, so all the C.C.A. fellows are over here now.

There is a fellow here named Ambrose, from Stewicke, who is a cousin of Dr.Randall's. Also a fellow name Atkinson who went to the agricultural college and married a Morgan girls, daughter of the jeweler. She used to stay at Doane's on Park St. There are no more fellows from homes but are some Halifax boys here but I didn't know any of them.

I must close now as it is quite late.

Lovingly Ludlow
