Fenny-Stratford
May 19 1918

Dear Mother:-

Well here Iam at Fenny Stratford. I don't know what it is going to be like. Apart from the fact that fatigues abound everywhere I guess it will prove to be a hom in comparison with Witley. But they seem to have a habit of putting fellows on some fatigue every day. We are right in the town and it is a small place. There are very few Canadians here- only about 4, so Canadas' are scarce. The rest are Imperials, south Africans, Australians, etc.

I spent yesterday in London and had a great time. I was thru Westminster Abbey again and went through a Museum of War Services which was very interesting. Also took a look at Buckingham Palace, St James Palace and to Litehall but saw them all before.

At the Eagle YMCA hut in London I had my first soda water for nearly a year it sure was good. I think I must of drink 20 if I touched one.

It sure is some hot here. It nearly stifles one.

Well you send the money that I wrote about. But first make sure about how the cable is delivered and whether it is safest.

This is just a short not & I must close now.

Loving
Ludlow
