Dear Mr Mackenzie

I have only just now received Laurence's address. Both the boys mention having heard from you.

I have not heard from Larry since he was wounded, but I understand that while the wound is a bad one, they hope there will be no serious after affects.

I am enclosing you a letter which I received from his Lieutenant, as I feel [?] you will be interested. Laurence is very modest about his honor, as when Dudley asked him the particulars, he said "I dont know anything about it, who told you."
