To Mr & Mrs. H Johns

Having learned that your son (Pte Earl Johns) has been killed in action in this our fight for the cause of humanity and the freedom of the nations

We the officers and members of Elimville Sunday School wish to convey to you our sincere and heartfelt sympathy in this your hour of sorrow and bereavement. While we realize that our loss is incomparable to yours we too feel that one of our boys has fallen a "Hero" on the battlefield in this the greatest struggle Earth as ever seen in the cause of Right-against-Might

"Not to strong is the Battle
Not to swift is the Race
Yet to the true and the faithful
Victory is promiseth through grace"

Your son has paid the supreme price of a true and faithful soldier for his King and country. We commend you to Almight God. the God and Ruler of nations whose greatest gift to mankind cost him the sacrifice of his only son, "Christ Jesus"

May you realize in Him a Father and in Christ a Brother able and willing to support you in this your hour of need. His promises are yea and amen to them that believe...They that sow in tears shall reap in Joy - and we trust that the nations now sowing in tears shall ere long reap such a harvest of Joy and peace that will be world - wide and everlasting and Bring the world nearer to God.

Signed on behalf the Elimville Sunday School
