Dear Mother & All

Just short note along with a photo of myself & Bill Cox, my side-kicker & friend. It certainly isn't a good one of either of us but I wont have a chance again for some time so I am sending two of these one for Bea & one for yourself. I have lost Bea's address so I will have to wait until hear from her again before I can write.

I am still in rest camp as I said in my last but am leaving soon for the line. The weather has been jake up until yesterday when it rain quite a lot.

Well Mother it is sometime since heard from you but it is likely your letters are waiting for me when I get back.

There is no need for me to say write soon as I know you will. Hoping you are all well.

Your Loving Son

Roy.
