Dear mother

I hope you are all quite well.I had two letters from you a few days ago dated the 11th of Aug & the 15th.

I also had a parcel yesterday, I got a parcel of clothes from the Canadian Red Cross & a pair of Boots, so I am well fixed up for clothes, the Parcel contained a suit of Blackm uniform Towel, Tooth Brush & Hair Brush.

I havent heard from maggie yet, I shall be very glad to hear from her.

I expect you have received the Card with my change of address on it by now. it doesnt take thing quite as long to come to this camp as the other I believe.

I had a parcel of Book arrive the other day, I havent got them yet they are still at the Censors, but I expect I shall get them in a few days.
you said in your last letter that Hugh & Vernon were going to write to me, please joy there memory I should love to hear from them, it is awful lonesome when you don't get lots of letters.

Will you please send me a set of knitting needles in one of the Parcels, knitting helps to pass the the time quite a bit, & I have to borrow a set if I want to do any, don't send the small size, send them about 1/4 in thick. I do wish I was Home this month, September is my favorite month in England & Canada It is always lovely in Canada this time of the year, two year ago we had about a foot of snow in Saskatchewan, I dont mean to say that that is what make Canada so nice, but I remember it, because I wasnt in it working all day.

We had a visit from the American Ambasador today, at least from some one from the Embassy. I think I told you in my last letter that I had written to Mrs. Marsham, I wrote my Post Card today to Russel Evans I told you that he has written to me.

I expect the Boys are very busy now they Harvest. I suppose is about got in by now. Today has been a very cold raw day.

Give my love to them all at Home & to Emmy & little Joan & Sam. & my best regards to Mr Arky

Your loving Son

Tommy.
