Dear Mother

Thank you very much for your letters, I hope you are all in the best of health, I am quite well myself.

I expect you will be very busy on the Harvest now, haying, it is lovely Weather here for the job now, I don't ever remember seeing such lovely Weather before in Europe.

I had a long letter from Mrs Evans of [?] about a week ago, I am afraid they must have had a very hard winter in Canada, she said it was snowing the day she wrote.

This afternoon is fearfully hot, I have been to have a cold bath, but it does not seem to make me much cooler. I havent had a letter from maggie for some time & those I have had from you have been very old one, the begining of may & the end of April. I hope that you are getting my cards & letters all right, I write every week.

How are old Mrs & Mr Arkinstall, I hope that they are all right give them my best regards when you see them.

I am busy knitting a belt for one of the Boys, just now I've put tops on to, I dont know how many pair of socks, for different people, most of the fellows are wairing short knicks because they are so much cooler.

I expect that the boys will be very busy now haying. I only wish I could help you. do they get any time to play tennis now. it would be lovely weather.

give my love to Emmy & Joan & the Boys & Sadie, I am so glad to hear she is doing well with her chickens

I remain

your loving Son

Tom.
