Dear Mother + Father

Just a few lines hoping you are all in the best of health as it leaves us at present 14 days Wilfe better by now I had a letter + parcel from Beat last week + she sent us some cake & other grocery you can bet we sat down + had a good food for once we are expecting one from Annie this week + some books to read as we don't got get a read hardly at all it just like gold to get one of them. We do get an English paper when we are out of the trenches but we have to pay 2c for a daily paper often its a day old. How thing looking there now I guess all the young fellows have to join the army now or they don't get any work. Charlie had a letter from Ern box last week bit tough on old George if he is as to get turned down he won't miss much + I guess he will soon be able to get a job soon I guess he will go up harvesting if he is out soon enough. Ask Ellie if she knows Amy Apps address + tell Allie I have seen Art the fellow who used to play football out the back he will know who I mean. Well Dear Mother + Father I hope you received the money from the Government by now as it begins to worry us if not we can soon see about it we can see our pay master you ought to have it by now How does Elvin like married life ask him if you see him Well this is all I have time to write this as the fellow is collecting the mail + it is going four hrs courier so I will close this letter
