Just a few line now I have time in answer to your welcome letter which I received this afternoon pleased to hear you are all keeping in the best of health as it leaves us at present but sorry to hear Dad had a rusty nail through his hand he seem to bad luck lately good fool he wasn't any worse, how is Elsie getting on with her new work & guess they are making good money there nice & handy for them both now the winter is coming on parcel from Beaty this week she sent us both a thick woolen scarfs they will come in handy the next time we are in the trenches as it get so cold here night & morning I guess it is just the same at home now. Wally is sending these two cards one each for you & Lucy & tell her I will write to her sometime during this next week & tell the girls I shall send them some cards later on I guess you can see they are hand made, I cannot make out about those cigarettes we only had that one parcel from Herbert.
