Manny thanks for your kind letters and card I am sorry I did not write last week I have had paperhangers in and I go and sleep along at Beats. week ends then Tom came up last Sunday and if I don't get to write on Sunday I don't get the time in the week. did you get the papers this week.
Who was the parcels from. I feel hurt because I cant manage one more often but I daresay you think just as much of us.
I bet it is hot marching as I was going along the road last week I saw such a lot of soldiers and they looked fit to drop. I thought of you at once.
Old Mays cake is a long time coming have you got yours yet. I heard from Mother and her and Dad are having their Photos taken I shall be pleased to get one won't you. I see in the papers of the terrible battle at V- I do hope you got clear of it. Cousion Alf was home last week I did not see him.
Sam has not heard any more about going he will know within another 8 weeks. As all have got to go by the 24th of June. I hope he dont it is very kind of Wally to say I dont want to go without a drink but you know all the time I can jog along. I wont touch it. I might be glad of a 1p or 2 if Sam has to go as the women have to wait a week or two before they get any money then they have it in a lump.
