Dear Mother & Father
I now find time to write these few lines hoping to find you all in the best of spirits as i am pleased to say it leaves us both the same as we are at all times, well we are having it abit stiff this week night marching every night from 8 till 12 after being out all the afternoon on the ranges firing Monday we done 24 miles if we done one went 3 miles to long both 8 miles to the ranges & back then we get quiet 13 miles after 8 oclock, got to do it everyday this week one thing we get hot soup when we come back the food is about the same don't alter a bit we shall be having our leave next Friday so the T.M. told Wally this morning when he went to see about it, we went into Dover last Sunday to have a look round going again this week if we are off duty, we have not seen Joe Rappl or Dick yet don't know exatley where they are, they are not far off, the worst of it is if you go to buy anything they see you are a Canadian so they soak you pretty heavy Wally had two cards from Beat & Annie on his birthday Well i don't think i have anymore to say as it is dinner time and i have a letter to write to Amy sometime today so good bye for the present Love to all
