Dear Dad:

I received the parcel today with the pen in it. That was truly the best parcel I have received. I think the plan of sending circulars to the folks in our constituency is a very good idea. Maybe the illustration of the "Missing Barn" was a little feeble because such things happen with poor supervised contractors. I also see that on June 18th you spoke post office estimates in respect to overseas mail, censorship etc. Well I might say this was spoken in respect for the M.P.s. I don't believe you would have brought this up if you had access to certain trivial matters dealing with the war. You see Dad you don't understand the general outline of the intelligence department. I don't mean to be sarcastic but I believe this to be quite true.

The clipping you enclosed about airmen's emergency kit was very interesting to the average housewife. But such appliances are very old. We have much better equipment altogether.

Well Dad I must say those clippings and papers were very interesting. I would like it very much if you would send me more of your speeches. I don't mean to contradict but I do differ in certain respects.

Well I must close Dad and thanks again for the parcel and the shirt fits well. Give my love to all. Tell me more news from home. Tell me what Ruth is doing.

Love Harry
