My dear Win,
Just came over from France on Tuesday, and found your very welcome letter awaiting me. Thank you so much for remembering me.
Bob was over here in England before I even knew he had enlisted. I am very proud of Bob. I haven't seen him yet - he is at Bramshott Camp in Surrey in the 33rd Battery, 9th Brigade, C.F.A.
I certainly had some great experiences in France, but I haven't time to write them all now. Sometime soon, I will write you a long letter.
I always like to hear about the dear old Grove - my best and happiest days were spent there.
With very best of wishes to you all, believe me,
Yours very sincerely,
Beresford Hamilton.
