My dear-dear Betty:-

An just sending a few lines while I am in the City & waiting to meet Mr. [?] - I am certainly favoured these days & if it were not for the fact that I am away from my dear ones, I should have nothing left to wish for - living at one of the stateliest of England's stately homes & having every comfort as well as making hosts of friends - then someplace of interest to visit every day, at St. Paul's to day & am going with a Party for a trip down the river to-morrow, on a private yacht, & on Saturday the House of Parliament - don't I wish you were with me. I have mailed to-day to Shirley & Arthur I catalogue each of the Birds & Animals in the Zoological Gardens, I spent Monday & Tuesday there, hope they receive them safely, & shall be sending post cards from time to time, Oh Betty, of you can spare it, send me a Money Order for Twenty five dollars, but don't send it unless you can spare it don't leave yourself short. I am getting no money while in Hospital, & I don't like to bother Bella for anymore, they are very, very good to me - Also if you send it you have better send it to Bella, & have the Order made out to here, then I can get it from her. Did I tell you that Father has had to quit work - also that the home is being broken up & Mother is to live with Rose while Father is to go to Bella's? I feel pretty bad about it & can't write much in regard to it, at least just now.

I hope & trust that in our latter years we shall experience a brighter & happier time & that our last days together will be our best days & spent in our own home together - I don't think that we have much to fear, especially after the experience through which we are passing at the present moment, God bless & keep you my dear wife, my best love to my dear kiddies & yourself with many hugs & kisses.

Yours lovingly
Daddy Will

P.S. I think my wounds were allowed to heal too quickly - the doctor here says so - anyway one (my right leg) had opened a little but it will be alright soon it is not paining very much. I likely shall be here for a few weeks yet.
