Dear Maw,
Everything is going fine- beautiful, the weather, just like summer, and W. of L are both getting a good tan. Plenty of fish. Its about 10 a.m. now and I have nine already. Got a 3- pounder yesterday (wish you had him!) and I got a 2- pounder this morning.
Quite lonely and quiet now that the army has gone. For a while we were fishing & the sound of bag-pipes. Your "Road & the Isles sounds grand across the windy tide-flats.
This is just a hurry-up note to catch a car going in. I'm eating, sleeping well, reading not at all. Ought to have more meat on my bones when I get back. The forestry men have my front page yarn.
Well, time to go - I'll have lots to tell you when I get back. Using all my own flies, and they work fine!
Love,
Billy
