Dear Betty,
Received yours & Billi's yesterday, with small parcel from Billy - It was good of Bill to send the razor - I needed one. It will be O.K. about the Insurance & you can send the Pension cheque on as before. I wish Ruby could have stayed longer but I suppose she is anxious to get home & they will be anxious to have her back. It is fine that she was able to come &stay so long. The snaps turned out very well indeed.

The weather is splendid now & one forgets all about the rain. Have not been fishing yesterday or to-day - but have been having a camp cleaning & washing bee & have things nice & ship shape. I do wish Shirley could come for a-while I'm sure she would like it. Had lunch to day at the bridge builder's camp - Pork chops - green beans - tomatoes - with several kinds of pies - I give them fish & the cook gives me the occasional pie - once in a while I get a small roast & cook it in their oven. This evening too - the Stones (I spoke of in my last letter) invited me over to dinner - so I fared well today. If I get the chance I will try & send you in a few trout.

The war scare seems to be passing by - which is a good thing - If you did not get sticks from the tomatoes - you can buy a few from the Flowerist, they will not cost much & we can use them another year. How are beans doing? Am going to write a few line to Bill - then go for a walk. Remember me to Ruby & Shirley. With Love
Dad
