My Dearest Betty :-

A step nearer the great objective, I arrived here last evening & may be here for 1 or two weeks, I shall be home(D.V.) well before the 24th of May. I am coming on Furlough but shall try hard to get my discharge or at least to stay in Canada. Am enclosing order for 3£ as I do not care to leave too much money about me traveling. I hope that I may not have to use more than 5£ of the 20£ you cabled, & shall have the balance which is in the Union Bank, London transferred to your account when I arrive.

It is a very weary time of waiting & I'm so tired of travelling & being knocked around. I'm scribbling this in the post office, good-night my dears. fond love God bless you
