My Dear Betty:

Just a hurried line to let you know that I have just heard from the Bank - they are transferring $125ºº and paying it into the Union Bank of Canada Wp'g to your name - I have no doubt that Lloyd's Bank will write you to notify you of the transaction, but in any case when you receive this note you had better enquire at the Branch Bank where you have your account & tell them that you are expecting a Post Office Transfer.

They advised me to send the money this way as there is not risk attached - the Banks merely arranging a transfer. Hope you will have no trouble. This will make it considerable easier for you to finance things. Expect to be spending the evening at Lady Tollemacke's again to morrow (24th) there were a crowd before, but just another along with myself are invited this time, so I guess she must have taken a fancy to us.

We are having some lovely weather now. Much love & many kisses to your dear self & my kiddies.

Will
