Dear Father,-

Just a line or two to let you know that I am quite well. A letter of yours arrived a couple of days ago. The parcel you sent that you were afraid that would be crushed arrived safely. The other one you mentioned hasnt arrived yet, but expect it in a day or two. Thanks for the papers,- the Passing Show, and London Opinion a little light "literature?" is most welcome always. I dont mean by this to send any more: The two I have mentioned, and the others you send are quite sufficient.

Dont trouble sending any warm underclothes as we have very warm cues issued to us. One suit each, but when we have a bath about once a week, they give us a clean change for our dirty ones. I have several hand knitted heavy pair of socks. I am quite well fixed for clothes.

I dont think the "Beets" are of much use, but you can end me some Sabadilla Powder, as it is supposed to be about the best stuff one can get.

I hope you have a very nice time at Malvern.at Xmas. I w ill be mailing them one of your cards. I have one left for Malvern and one for Johnnie. Well bye bye for a few days.

Your Loving son
George
