Dear Father
Just a line to let you know I will be catching a train from Paddington to-day for Malvern. I only have a pass for six days but believe I can get it extended four more. Will be going over to Ocle for a couple of days anyways. Don't suppose I shall see you and you musn't trouble to try and get away, unless you have some holidays coming. My address when I get back will be Pte GM Bird, 464541, 5th Casualty C. 30th Reserve Battn CEF. East Sandling, Kent. I think there will be another draft to France in three or four weeks and suppose I will have to go. Well for the present byebye. Your loving son
George.
