Dear Father

I am so sorry that I havnt written for so long, but it has been almost impossible to do so. I havnt had any mail for about a week, as I havn't been with the battn for a few days, but expect it will begin to arrive in a couple of days. I am going through a A. Co's course here, and expect to be here for about three weeks. You can use my old address when writing, and I think it will arrive O.K. Anyway I will get it when I rejoin the battn.

The weather is terribly cold, and as it is practically a new school, there is no Y.M.C.A. or other place to write in, though we have lots of blankets and straw and sleep comfortably at night. The only place to write in is the Estaminet where I am at present waiting to have some eggs cooked.

Will you please write to Doris and mother and tell them I am quite well, and I will write just as soon as I possibly can, but just at present writing is quite an undertaking.

Hope the weather [?] up a bit soon. I think the rain would be prefable.

Well will say bye bye for the present. Will write again soon

Your Affectionate Son
George
