Dear folks
Well here I am at long last but I have been moving and on leave for the last eight or nine days so I haven't been able to write. But here I am and now for some news. I left my last station about ten days ago or should I say I was posted. We had a 48 between stations so I went to Cambridge I had a lovely two days there plenty to eat and plenty of sleep I went canoeing on the river and had a very nice time. I then came to my new station at the end of the 48.
We flew one night here then they sent us on seven days leave which of course I didn't refuse. I went back to Cambridge for a day then on to Birmingham there I spent two and a half days I went out to see Mrs. McKay's sister in Birmingham and had a hard job trying to leave for they wanted me to stay there. I then left Birm. And stopped in at Bambridge on my way back to camp I spent five hours out of one day out in the river in a canoe and boy did the freckles come out on me I then came back to camp to-night and that's where I am now. I haven't received any mail from home for over three weeks now but I saw by the parcel list that there is three parcels for me but the post office is closed to-night so I will have to wait until to-morrow to get them. There are four Canadians in the crew and we have 12 parcels waiting for us to-morrow.
I suppose you are out on the farm by now and getting ready for the harvest. How is every body out there anyway I got a letter from Reg Dean to-day and one from Aunt Greta. Auntie and Uncle are moving out of the hotel and into a house I guess its about time they did.
Well we are on our last station now and it seems to be a pretty good station but it is a long ways from no where and connections on the train are very bad. Well I guess I will have to sign off for now for I have out of paper so will sign off for now
Say hello to all
With Oceans of Love
Bill
