Dear Madam:

I regret to have to advise you that notice has been received here that the above soldier has been reported missing, believed killed, the 1st April 1918. His Assignment to you has, therefore, been stopped effective from the 30th April 1918.

When the necessary particulars have been received from Overseas, regarding the personal effects, accumulated pay, etc., of this soldier, a full settlement of the estate will be made by the Estates Branch, Militia and Defence Department, Ottawa.
