Dear Sis.

Recived you most welcome letter but did not receive parcel all I received was one parcel from home with the sweater and pair of socks. I was away on a weeks guard at new years and thier was to parcels come for me and got as far as the orderly room and were stolen out of their I tried to make the orderly room staff pay for them but could not make anything out of it so had to let it drop. Well Ivy you asked me if it was a little Lassie that was atrating me to Glasgow it wasn't the first time but I think it this time I expect to be getting a leave pretty soon. I have only got one photo of her so far but will try and get another one and will send it to you will ask her if she would like to write to you and will send her your address belive me Ivy she is a bonnie we Lassie. Well Ivy think I will try and get back to France again am getting fed up with this something seems to tell me I should be out there again. I have got the fighting feaver and am anxious to get back I dont see any fun in the rust bunings out their and not me. Well Ivy will close for this time.
