Dear Mother & Dad:-
Very pleased to receive your letter of 6 Aug 44 and to know that you are both well. Don't forget to look after yourselves and keep well.
Needless to say, I feel well and in the pink. Received a letter from Aunt Jessie also, and she and Uncle Isiah are both well. By "Operations" Dad, I mean that we are working harder, and now when we do something, we know it's the real thing and that we are not on an exercise or a scheme, as we used to be occasionally on in England.
I'll certainly be glad to receive your parcel of 4 Aug when it arrives and it will come in handy.
It's pretty hard to believe that I am 24 now, but here it is, and I hope that when my 25th birthday rolls around, I'll be in the land of the Maple Leaf.
Thanks for the news about Ethel Collins. I didn't think Ethel would ever
get married.
So Lillian has a son, has she. Give her my Best Wishes will you. I'll certainly have to drop the Stones at 29 Adelaide Street a line now.
This is just a short note, but more are on the way.
All the Best and God Bless You, Mother & Dad.
Your Loving Son -
Harry
