Dear Mother:
Thanks for your many letters which come through.
I was in on the Madagascar show at Diego Suarez - rather odd fighting against ye olde allies!
Has Bob's child arrived yet? I am getting to be quite an old bachelor.
It is hoped that the arrival of a few letters will not come as too great a shock. The mail receiving end here is just about nonexistent. I had a letter from Bill Edwards yesterday but no mention of his joining the navy. Staunton sent me some pictures of Jean which were grand - haven't heard from him since October, but then I'm no letter writer.
Had a wonderful time last week reading about a dozen letters from home. I get the dates right, then read right through the lot.
Give Bob and wife as well as the rest my best.
Love
Bill
