London April 15th 1919
Dear Mother:
Arrived here this morning and expect to spend the rest of my leave here as I have to return to camp on the 17th. I wired for a couple days extra but hardly expect I will get it. It is rumored we are to sail about the end of the month but it will surprise me if we do.
I spent the first part of the 8 days between Edinburgh & Dundee and had intended spending a day and calling on Mrs Murray at Kilkcaldy but the weather was so bad I did not go. It seemed to be raining almost every hour or so although sometimes not very heavy. It is like rain here today too.
Visited the pictures of the Airships, Aeroplanes etc this morning and they were very good. Understand the Canadian War pictures have all gone to Canada now.
I have written a note to Eliz today too as I have not heard from her since leaving Belgium. Expect she has been on leave. I also got the balance of my money from the Post Office here, so have plenty, as they paid me ₤8-0-0 before going on leave.
This is all just now. Will write again when I get back to camp.
Love to all
Rob.
